Over the past 15 years we have embraced our connection with the Dharawal community. Our Mosaic that welcomes everyone to ‘Our Place’ was a collaborative project with Aboriginal elder Les Bursill and other Dharawal elders.
The inclusion of Jindoala, the lace monitor in the park and carved into our tree in the amphitheatre was a collaborative project and our ‘Creation Dreaming in the Amphitheatre’ was the last project approved by Aunty Beryl before her death.
We have also had Uncle Max conduct two smoking ceremonies at preschool and also held workshops for teachers to support the inclusion of Aboriginal Culture.
Late last year we also held the Reconciliation Council meeting at The Point Preschool where we welcomed over 80 visitors.
We are also acknowledged within the community for our leadership in Aboriginal connections and relationships.
