Bush Care

Once a month the children in the Cockatoo group (Wed-Fri group) get to venture outside the preschool and into the adjoining reserve to work with our Bush Care friend Bradley.

The children get to explore nature and learn to grow native plants. They get to turn the earth and discover all of the amazing stories Bradley has to share. Bradley is from the Sutherland Shire Council’s Bush Care group.

Bradley tells the children about how to tell a boy tree from a girl tree and how to tell how old a tree is. The children are fascinated by his wisdom on all things nature!

Over the years the children have spent time planting well over 4000 new seedlings into the reserve to restore it. They also spend time weeding and keeping the reserve looking beautiful.
